need to identify this part

It sits almost floating around it seems,(not sure if it's supposed to)on the top middle of the engine block next to the thermostat housing. From birds eye view it looks like a small,white, 90 degree plastic piece on top of a metal bell shaped
thing inside the top of the block. From the small,white, 90 degree plastic piece
runs a 1 inch dia. s-shaped hose that connects at the front of the carburetor.
Can anyone I.D. this for me?

You may need to take a picture and post it. Also I'm assuming your talking about a hot air car?
