Need Wideband and EGT Advice????

I've been looking to buy a Wideband o2 Air Fuel meter. I was wondering wether to buy a one sensor kit or dual sensor kit. I've heard mixed opinions on were to mount these sensors, some say on the headers and others say on the down pipe. I've even heard one sensor on the headers and one on the downpipe. Do I need two sensors? I was also wondering about EGT gauges, Should I get one too or will the Air Fuel meter be enough. What brands and combinations of meters do you guys recommend?

You only need one wideband sensor and it needs to be installed post turbo at least 12 inches...NEVER in the headers. The most common installation is in the downpipe in the engine bay for easier access or further down the exhaust stream in the downpipe under the car, or test pipe. The WB sensors are not designed to take the amount of heat that is generated in the headers. It also needs to be installed above the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock position so that moisture doesn't collect on the sensor and fry it on start-up.

IMO, if you have an A/F set up, EGT is not really needed. It does help "complete the picture" as far as tuning is concerned, but is probably overkill for the average person.

A popular spot for the EGT probe is just before the turbo. Each sensor can be recorded and played back on the Powerlogger. Both are used for tuning. The wb can control the new Turbo Tweak chip.
