I'm going to remove the TE 44 turbo from my 87 GN so I can have it rebuilt/repaired....as this is my first turbo, I don't want to screw things up and was hoping someone would have some resources they can point me to so I do it right and don't screw anything up.

just take your time removing bolts such as your exhaust side bolts, tighten them just a hair before you break them free or you might break them off.

couple bolts on the oil return under the turbo, 3 bolts on your header, oil feed line, misc bolts holding bracket etc
easy..just take your time

and this:

Turbocharger Replacement

just take your time, there's not much to screw up.
be sure to be careful with the oil feed line and fitting.

and invest in one of the newer style oil drain pieces,
youll thank yourself when putting it back on
not having to fight with the stock type that isn't very flexible when youre in that tight spot reconnecting the bolts.
