new alky- holic -few ???

when running alky say a razor kit ect, when you pump it into the system is it running for a brief shot like nitros? or is it constantly being sent through per shot recyled exhaust gases? also i noticed right after changing the oil a few shots later my oil was already tinted gray i guess thats common? one more for the road , now driving like everday driving do you have to use the alky or only when you want to? i notice sometimes the driveability is normal with it or with out it and then sometimes its stumbly with or with out it? sorry for the beginners i just want to figure the way it should be run best since im fresh of the wagoN!!! thanks for any replys!!!

Pump runs as long as the boost reference is calling for it. Completely seamless, you wouldn't know it's there. You don't have to use it, just don't get into boost. You can make a gallon of methanol last for 200 miles or less than 5, all depends on your right foot. As for the Oil, I'm not sure. I only change it once a year, when I get the car out of "hibernation", then it gets less than 1k miles before being put away.

Royal Purple claims their XPR (racing) oil is resistant to methanol. I used it around the time I installed the Alky a few weeks ago so I'll have to get a look-see.


From their FAQs:

Q. Can I run your oils with exotic fuels (alcohol, methanol, nitrous-oxide, etc.)?

A. Yes. Royal Purple’s lubricants can be used with exotic fuels. For the best protection, Royal Purple has formulated its XPR 5W20 and XPR 10W40 specifically with this in mind. These two oils are formulated to combat fuel emulsification to hold up even better than Royal Purple’s other racing oils in alcohol and methanol applications.

Good news. How much a quart? Is it normal, blend or synthetic oil?

It's a synthetic and it's like $15 a quart. Don't get me wrong I'm not Rockefeller I only change my erl once a year and this is my first Alky experience, so I felt more comfortable with that extra protection.
