I think two notables come to mind.... both are waaaaay bad @ss in my book......

Ed Brewer took a stock turbo... stock (unopened) longblock... stock cam.... car to 7.17 in the 1/8 and 11.37 in the 1/4 with pump gas and alky.

Tim Stockwell took a (unopened I think) stock longblock car with a TA62 (I think) to a 10.76 (or so) in the quarter before it popped a head gasket.

Both of these are quite a high mark IMHO.

FWIW.... if you were running a TA62... or TE62... I am not so sure your car wouldn't be close to Tim's times...probably take 30-32 psi boost though....

thats motivating. so if i can get mine in the tens it would be one of the top unopened motor cars around with a 52mm??

this is to anyone thinking of building a transmission, lonnie diers is the man. he can make it do exactly what uwant. hes very good with answering your question and helping as much as he can as well.

Yours isn't a 52mm ... it is a PT52 if I understand it... according to PTE's website... it is a 60mm compressor wheel.... just like my TE60.... but has a slightly bigger exhaust wheel as my TE60.... same wheel as the 6152.... I thinkkk the T350 ehhaust wheel. The TE60 has the T31 wheel.... which is also the same size as a TA49 and TE44 exhaust wheel.

Damn.. settle down.. believe what you want.. 17psi on the footbrake is pure bull****.

Ok.. now it makes sense.. He has a pts convertor.. you have to back that statement up because you sold it to him..

3200 loose? damn, what do you call a 5500 convertor?

I will believe it. it's reality. In my own car, I can hold 15# boost on the footbrake on my front lawn!!.......Makin WAY more power than him...... Grumpy is an eye witness to this statement. That's how I sold him the PTS billet 9/11.......PROOF!

I sold him what? I haven't sold him anything.....WTF did you get that from?

I call a 5500 stall converter STUPID! :)

so its a 60mm turbo?

well that sucks i thought i was don something running this fast. i am goin to put 90/10 shocks, remove the front sway bar, build me an intercooler spray bar, and run race gas with less fuel in the car. i went the 11.05@122 with a full tank. just imagine what its goin to do with good shocks, some cooler air, and less weight!!

Nope, it's reality so get over it.. There are 3 of us that can hold more than this around here and my method has been documented in the archives and others have proven it can be done.. Do a search for the info..
Factory drums, stock brake shoes, factory brake cylinders, stock converter, etc..
The most that I saw a buddy do was launching at 20psi off the foot brake which gave him a 1.53 60' with his stock turbo, stock IC, stock injectors, stock converter, original brakes, etc... most of this GN is factory original with 34K miles on it.. His brothers T has 20K original miles on it and he launches at 15psi and runs 11.7's @ 20psi - another Stockwell car here..

KS:cool:

timing

it was about 29-30lbs of boost with the cutout off. that is what the car was tuned at i believe. the reason the car doesnt have a transbrake is because its my daily and i dont care about racing the car that often at the track. im not sure why the car doesnt creep it just held it. but i mean i run pro tree for the races here because thats what we do on the street. well with a flashlight though.lol. the car didnt creep at all that i could tell. just took off like a bullet. as far as head gaskets dont get me to lying. heads are untouched though. it is an ALL stock motor, intake, plenum and throttle body. i am fixing to put an accufab plenum and throttle body on the car off of a car at the shop we are working on. we have some really good parts for ridiculous cheap in the for sale section. this guy built the car with us and hardly ever drove it. now we are bulding him a bigger motor and a 76mm turbo. so check them out too.

what was the timing set at on that pass

i have no idea. i havent hooked up the laptop at all on the car. i just know that it doesnt detonate like it is, so i just drive it everyday and know that the car is safe lol. i need to look into all that stufff just so i can let everyone know when they are asking me questions i guess...roflmao

ill check into all the basics. i will recrod it this weekend to let everyone know how it did with the new stuff im putting on the car friday. maybe i can get my unopened daily in the 10s. how cool would it be to have a 10 second daily with the ac on and still get 18-21 mpg outta boost! heres a pic of the car. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g17/eksmazda/HPIM0543.jpg

heres a better one

i would like to thanks everyone for their compliments and i am goin to do the shock upgrade and pull the front sway bar off. i hope to get the car in the tens this weekend. once i get it there i am goin to just enjoy the car till the pinks all out race in houston on the 17th of march at houston motorsports park.
