New Combo. How Should I Do?

i just got a Ta-49 put on and i will be going to the track Sunday.i will be at about 20psi boost and a 5psi launch.also a JL 116 race chip with 28*1-2, 26*3,c-16. now this is 1/8th mile and the best i ever had with my stocker is a 7.65@89 not locking the converter and i will be locking it tomorow.the rest of my combo is in my sig.i only need guesses on 1/8th mile please.

I wouldnt know what to guess here cody..I went with a 51 turbo & slowed down at first until I got a front mount..I have alot of the bolt on stuff & have only ran a 7.62 in the 8th with @21-22lbs of boost but I also had 93mph also..Hopefully you can run a 7.30 that would be awesome

Why only 20psi?
With C16 and blue tops, you should be able to run a few more psi.
I ran VP110 and blue tops, and went 115mph (12.0's... ) with my 49 on a stock IC (w/big neck) at 24-25psi with a 26/25* chip with a TCC lockup at WOT in 3rd at ~75mph. I'm now running 50's.
I think you'll pick up a tenth or two from the turbo and a tenth or two from locking the TCC. I'd guess you'll run 11.9's@~111-112mph if you're still getting those 1.6's.

ok, thanks snorman. if the weather holds out here in texas i will let you know what i run today. so 7.40's-7.30's are what to shoot for i guess.

I can run 7.7x's @ 91+ on DOT's (1.7s 60') with 21* chip and 23# boost. This is with SMC alcohol kit + 93 octane. With slicks, I should be able to run a couple tenths better.

I ran 7.3's@93 at Kennedale with that combo, but a stock intercooler with a big neck and a locked up D5. 23 psi of boost, 1.67 60fts with 275/60 BFGDR's.

You should run 7.3' @ 94 mph with your intercooler with no problem.

You're already running a pretty good 1/8th. I doubt you'll see much improvement...

Sure wish I could get in a 7.30 run..I have a 51 turbo & a front mount & have 93.5 mph but 7.62 is all I could squueze out of it..Im running sportsman pros & maybe hi 1.7x 60 ft.'s I think I ran mostly low 1.80 60ft.'s thought..I guess my 60 ft is still too lazy for that 7.30 run..My car was kinda a dod till the christmas tree..maybe I need a converter or maybe that LS1 MAF & translator plus will help me out a lil..Ill try it again this spring when the track opens

I ran a 7.02 at Kennedale with a 51 turbo and large front mount. Turbo is not your problem. 60 ft the car and it will get there.

ok...i finally went to the track and the best i ran was a 7.53@92.62 w/a crappy 1.77 60" and that was at 20psi boost and 5psi launch. i was out of Injector as i was running 50psi fuel press. line off. and the 02's were at a scary 740's -7.50's. my 60" times are worse now because i still have a stock TC. but i still managed to pulloff 93mph no locking the TC. so i guess i'm happy.

Buickboy>>>how in the hell did you get a 7.02 out of a 51 turbo..do you have more converter or leave at @15psi or something..no way will my car run that fast unless i dog on it hard with a big boost launch..also waht boost & timing are you running & weight? I could only dream of running a 7.02 without anything being ported or big launch boost huh..
