Hi, I just got my new computer hooked up today. I've been without my computer since 5/03. Since I'm starting with the essentials, I bought 007 nightfire along with a microsoft sidewinder controller. Computer is P4, Windows XP, 128 ram.
For some reason, the game won't recognize my controller, but the computer does as soon as it's plugged in, so I know it works. I downloaded Direct x 9 thinking that would solve it, but it didn't. Any suggestions? Thanks.

May be a stupid question but does the game support that controller or controllers in general?

The booklet says it does as long as windows gives an ok status which it does.

What game is it? Usually you have to go into the options of the game and tell it you want to us controller.

The game is EA games 007 nightfire made in 2002. In the options, it doesn't recognize that there is a controller, i'm guessing, so I don't see that option.
