I made some changes to the Cutlass. It has been sitting for the last couple years. We added power steering and hydroboost out of my silver car. The stock 80k mile trans was starting to get soft on the 2-3 shift. I installed a Brian Hoffer trans I had laying around, and a PTC 17 blade converter. It was converted to e85 and 83lbs injectors were installed. I replaced the beehive valve springs with a set of pac 1201s, and turned the boost up to 26lbs. Previously the car ran 10.88@122 on 19psi.
First pass, I eased it out with 3psi, 10.52@128 1.61 60'. Boost was dropping to 23psi in 3rd. I figured an intake hose was collapsing, so I pushed the inlet pipe into the couplers as far as possible.
Next pass, launched off 6psi, 10.31@130 1.49 60'. Boost was 25 in 1st and 2nd, 26 in 3rd. No drop off.
This car has stock control arms, poly bushings, and old shocks from the 90s. 275/60 mt drag radials that are 4 years old, and have frozen every winter. This is a stock short block, fel pro 9441 headgaskets, and very lightly ported heads. For an intake, I just ported the end of the runners to straighten them, not enlarge. Stock valves and rockers. The car weighs 3560.
