hey guys...they didn't show up tonight...i was there with 104 octane, slicks, boost at 25 psi...they were a no show...

i was told they want to run wednesday night instead...i guess they have a brand new WRX STI set up for me...they say it runs 12.20's and has an upgraded turbo, injectors, front mount intercooler, downpipe and exhaust, intake, etc.

i am more interested in running the STI rather than the neon

i guess i am gonna have to fill up with 112 octane, pop in the race chip and run 27 psi of boost now...i wonder if these guys are full of sh!t about the STI...i have seen it before and it's for real...but with all those mods? i don't know about that...

i will still have the video camera...my friend is setting up the races tomorrow and is gonna make sure they show up this time...i think they were just scared tonight

Anyways, back on subject, someone said there was a Neon running 12.90's and another one in the 11's. That is all fine and dandy since there are GN's running in the 8's and 9's!!!!!

I for one know that it is possible to make anything fast if you have the money, the whole reason why most of us are on this board is because it is a whole lot cheaper to make a TR/GN/TTA run fast than it is nearly any other car.

So what if a Neon ran 11's in your town, I am sure there has been at least 1 Camaro that did aslo. Does that mean that every Camaro runs 11's? Hell if you took the average time for every Camaro on the road, the average time for Neons would probably be better.


Run the Neon, if you lose you are an idiot. If you win you are a really big man for picking on a 4 banger!!!!

Moral of the story is, if you know you can beat him, corner him in front of a croud and bet the house. If you aren't sure, then don't even go looking since you have the reputation of the TR community on your shoulders.

Same goes for racing Hondas, if you lose you look really bad, if you win, you still look like an idiot. So why would you race a honda?

You have to be kidding about the neon camaro comment who cares if you lose to a faster car whether it be a big block or a 4 cylinder turbo, if it can beat you then he deserves your repect. A turbo neon is worth running just to kick his butt, but to say your an idiot to race a turbo 4, well i guess all those v8 guys must say the same thing about us then. Don you can take that STI if you can hook but it will be very close good luck.

I understrand, an air box and a reflash in those Neons go 13.2. Thats faster than our TR's went on similar mods.

As for the WRX, 12's is supposedly childs play by now....forget the STI which is supposed to be like a 12 sec off the showroom floor. Ask "Foolis" and "JayC".
