What items do I need to set prior to starting my engine for the first time? I can think of only the cam sensor (after prime) and TPS (.42-8.5 V)? Is this correct? Are there other items that need to be set prior to first time fire? Thanks

Anyone care to offer recommendations please. Want to be sure when I turn the key it runs so I can break in the cam. Thanks

I guess I'd also double check the fuel pressure, you can do that without starting the car. Also lets you look for a fuel leak before you start it the first time. Might make sure it's full of oil and water. You could check the crank sensor if you think things might have moved around. Other than that, make sure all the vac lines and sensors are actually plugged in. I've fired mine up 1. with the MAF sensor disconnected, and 2. with the vac brake hose disconnected. Ran fine the first time, although it set a code. 2nd time it wouldn't idle for nuthin'!
