I went for two years from 92-94, took the electrical tech course tuition at the time was 18 grand for the full associates degree program. I believe you will get out of it what you put into it, it's important to have a genuine interest in the technology your enrolling in, otherwise the material may not sink in very well as its a pretty fast paced program. They offer lifetime job placement but I personally havnt used it to date. The lab hours counted toward my field hours as an electrical apprentice and the theory hours counted towards classroom hours for my journyman licence so when I started with my company in 95 I was the only apprentice who didn't have to go to night school and got my license like a year earlier than my fellow apprentices I started with. They've been around a long time and given the world we live in today if your gonna spend the money on education, a technical education seems a good bet, and an associates degree to boot .. Good luck, your a good dad!
