New Front Springs

I am installing new front springs this weekend, AllData stats you need to remove the lower control arm, (with the aid of a GM tool no less) any one do this? best way? thanks

Thats nonsense.

Read it again, theres no reason to remove the lower control arm. U need a spring compressor, ball joint seperator, floor jack and the common garage tools. Be careful, I think everyone has heard a horror story regarding front springs.
