New Fuel Pump

I am in the process upgrading the fuel system in my GN and purchased a new Walbro pump from one of the sites vendors. I was looking it over prior to installing it and noticed that most of the part number and the maybe the manufactures name was ground off the case (I rolled down the foam sleeve).

Should I be concerned about this or is there a reasonable explanation?
