Has anyone had to replace the tank on their TR? I ordered a new one from 1aautomotive.com and the tank looked perfect. Put in the sender and new pump, wrestled with the straps as always, and the darn fill spout did not line up behind the license plate area. It was off to the drivers side and to low. I made it work, but was wondering if anyone else had run up on this problem?

Look up Lou Czarnota on the southwestern section down below. He just did a tank a while back and he can probably tell you if you have the correct tank.

Just needs some adjustment

There is quite a bit of play and adjustment in those straps. Loosen the straps and make the adjustment. Pay attention as you snug up the straps as the filler moves around some.

Is there more than one replacement tank for our cars? I'm inclined to believe there's only one manufacturer and myriad sellers.
