As the subject header says, we take possesion of our new (to us) house on Friday & I thought the garage seemed "Slightly" short but never measured it. Well I'm here at work, my wifes at the new house and just measured it, T's at home (old house).

So........ What the hell's the "Exact" length?????????

Just went and measured my GN---16'4" ---------from end of bumper to end of bumper.HTH

Thanks Guys!!!!! Geoff, that 16'-4", is that from the CENTER of the car Front - to the CENTER of the car rear??? As the bumpers V out.

Thanks!!!

overall length

I'm looking at the _Standard Catalog of AMERICAN CARS_ where it shows the overall length of 200.6 inches.

Just get a run at it and move the wall a bit, then it will fit ;)

As previously stated by lburou, 200.6 inches. Also verified by GM Manufacturers motor vehicle specification, Passenger car, 1987 car line Regal, Regal ltd and Regal GN

Its gonna be tight Brain.. .2" is prolly less then the tolerence between cars.. Ya gonna have to test fit it to be sure.. Whats the cruising scene up there in Bumblefu.. er Berks county??:)

Well in a Word NO, the car does NOT fit!! I'm about 3 - 4 inches shy!! Home Depot rents out a Jack Hammerlike tool that'll allow me to carve out the Cinderblock in the Bumper area to get it to fit!! The Driveway turning radius is EXTREMELY tight as well!!!

Frank, Thanks, Yes, I also NEED to talk to someone in the General West Reading - Shillington - Wyomissing area about where the Sunday Night (or Saturday) Cruise/Race hangouts are!!!! I drove around last night and NADA!!
