Anyone running these with a 2800 convertor? Thinking about switching over but want a streetable turbo with more up top.

mzunino, there is at least 4mph more on the 49.however with heads and cam at least a 61 and if you restall the converter a 66.

I JUST put one on my car with the d5. With the dump open it spools like the stocker through the stock dp/cat/catback. I'm still running the stock intake hose/maf/airbox (full throttle pipe back ordered) so I'm sure once that's opened up it will spool even better. If it dries out tomorrow I'll give a full review of it along with a hose of other bolt ons.

I have been thinking of a new 6151BB or 6157BB Turbo. Most guys don't use the stock D5 with the 6151.I don't know what the difference is between the 6151 and the 6157.

Just put a ballbearing 6157 on my car with the stock d5. It spools great and I'm sure it would be even more awesome with a 2800 in it, but doesn't need it even if you didn't already have it installed.

I had the stock D5 when I first put my 6157 on. I was pleased with spoolup. Fast forward... My trans started flaring, so when I had it built I went with a Vigilante 2400-2600 stall. Hits faster, but I have no regrets about matching it with the D5.

the line of truth will show if a combo is working;) seat of the pants can be deceptive.

seat of the pants can be deceptive.

True, but I've found stain in the pants to be pretty reliable, cuz I just about sh*t mine when I took the car out with this combo:D . In all seriousness, no track times yet. The tranny issues were prohibiting me.
