New guy has 84 GN questions

Hi, I am new here and I have a few questions about the 84-85 GN. I am thinking about buying one and I have a few questions about these particular year models. I have heard to stay away from these, is this true and why? What are the bad points about these cars? Good points? What are these cars worth? I have never owned a turbo car, so what do I need to know about them before I jump on this one?

for one, they are non-intercooled...for two they have everything backwards compared to a 86/87 motor! they were rated at 200 horse stock and are low 15's at best...with some good upgrades and some TLC they can do 13's quite easily...everything is the same as the intercooled cars pretty much except the motor...hope that helps just a teeny tiny bit

He pretty much summed it up about the hotairs as they call em. Ive got an 85..and I love it, sure its not intercooled, but with some loving, its damn fast too. Having a hotair is being like the underdog, but if you want, you could always add an intercooler. The hotairs are alot cheaper than the 86-87s as well.
