The problem is I was driving the car and i got on it and all of a sudden it cut out like it died. Then after it coasts and you try to press the gas it cuts out and then goes. Also if you try to get the turbo to kick in the gauge only shows 2psi of boost and revs to 4 grand. Could it be the mass air flow censor not calibrated right, because we have had trouble with it before.

You can do a "tap test" on the sensor. with the car idling, tap on the sensor with a screw driver to see if it stumbles. If it does, your MAF is DOA.

If the boost gage isn't registering, though, I'd look for a vacuum leak somewhere.

Check for an IC hose that has slipped off or tore a hole in it, MAF and maybe loose cam sensor.

RAN out of gas??? these gas gauges in these cars suck-
