Have a wedding in NJ over Mother's day weekend. Flying into Newark headed down to Sea Girt/Bay Head area. Mapquest has 3 routes out of the airport, Garden State Pkwy, I-95 South, and US 9 south.

I know Newark can be a rough area so I'm guessing the GS parkway or I-95 is our best bet. Hopefully Hertz puts enough gas in to make it a ways before needing to stop.

Probably won't have enough time to meet up with anyone. Arriving Friday and leaving Sunday morning so we can get home and the wife can spend time with our boys on Mothers day.

Take NJ Turnpike (I-95) south to exit 11 (Garden State Parkway) south. Depend where in Sea Girt, exit 98 of the GSP. Then Rt 138 east to Rt 35 south

But if you're going to Bay Head get off at exit 88 off the GSP. Take Rt 70 east to Rt 88 (follow signs to Pt Pleasant).

Or if you're in Sea Girt already take Rt 35 south for approx 10 mi to Bay Head.

North Jersey is a different state to us Southern NJ guys.. haha just dont cruise in the left lane doing 50, that causes New jerzians to have heart attacks and serious cases of road rage haha

Sounds like my commute to work in the mornings. Dumb ass people going 55 in the 65 where it is 2 lanes wide for miles. It opens up to 3 lanes and next thing you know they are doing 85-90 even though the speed limit is STILL 65.

Just got back in tonight. Jersey was great! I got completely spoiled driving around my rented 2012 Impala LTZ all weekend. Hope to bring the kids back for a vacation some time. Didn't get to get out a whole lot as my wife had a lot of wedding obligations being a brides maid. Reception was at the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club, it was amazing. Great views of the ocean from the pool deck!

Glad you had a great time at the wedding, and a nice visit to NJ....When you bring the kids back for a vacation you have to take them to Great Adventures (six flags) for some real fun!!!!
