Hi every one! Ive been a long time GN owner and GM tech who started spinning wreches back in the 80's hayday at Karl Model Buick in Yuma AZ. (last place on earth that you want to live) But since I was fresh out of the Marine Corps, and didnt wanna pick lettuce, the Buick dealer was my best bet! I remember doing PDI's on Grand Nationals and taking them on "test Drives" (even if it was just an LOF!) boy do I wish we could have loaded up on all the rare stuff you see on eBay selling for big $$! That and R12! Who knew. Anyway. Thanks for all the info that you guys have on here, great stuff! I just got finished puting a 6 point cage in my car, said I would NEVER do that, but kept getting the evil eye at the local track and the boot with my last "I'm going to get kicked out for this pass" runs. I didnt put in a swing out bar for the drivers door for the first week or so, I'm 290lbs, thak god my car had T tops! Went to pinks all out here in Tucson, but didnt pass tech (rollbar) But than I saw an episode with this black 69 Camaro running 10 with a lap belt! (no roll bar too) Bastards!

Sounds like a nice car. Where are the pictures? Working at a Buick dealer at that time must have been very cool !

Yes it was! I remember once Sylvester Salone was in Yuma shooting seens for Rambo II I think...Turns out he has his 930 whale tail across the street from the Buick dealer at Alxeanders Imports take pictures with the staff, well me and the guys were shouting crap back and forth (we were all friends with all the tech over there) to race this T type we had on the lot ( some jar head bought it and couldnt get finanaced), but the wouldnt take the bait! He's like 4 feet tall in person! I will try and post some pictures. I'm not to Savy are posting things, hell look at what catagory I started my hello in!
