yes ported stockers

i dont want to do alum heads yet...it is coming...painting the car instead...next year perhaps....will also do champion intake then..oh well

fred

yes fred your eagle crank is in there....i will have to get the powder coat ones....i have some more pics coming when my headers make it here...and also have powder coated the idler bracket and a bunch of other stuff...i may end up too clean to drive...hahaha

One suggestion- or maybe two. The long stud that holds the headers on, passenger's side rear- doesn't need to be a long one. I would replace it with a bolt, just so the %#%$^&(* thing doesn't skin my knuckles. Same thing for other long studs, except the ones that are needed to hold brackets. Second- the heat shields on the stock header that surround the spark plugs are also a cut hazzard. I thought about removing mine, and using those little sleeves to protect the plugs and plug wires, but maybe it would help just to round off all the sharp edges.

 WOW!!!
Great job, especially all the detailing. That downpipe looks awesome. That motuh should honk!

Beautiful engine. I have to agree with kevin about the silicone. Oils and oily fluids completely release the bond that silicone has with anything. Chunks will find thier way to the pickup screen and hopefully thats where they stop. Go with a good silicone gasket, and for the seams, use permatex gasket maker...called "the right stuff". There is nothing better for silicone applications than that stuff. Its an amazing product and will not break free. It bonds like an MF.

converter

i am putting a 3500 west coast conv lock up stall in it also...some other details are the total seal gapless rings file set....going to try and do everything except frame off on it...again thanks to dewayne at rpm for all his hard work....

Great looking motor. But as stated above...get rid of the blue silicone pan gasket. It WILL LEAK. Then it will be a pain to change in the car with the added girdle oil pan clearance...

Great looking motor. Not sure if you're aware of this, but it appears that you're using the same coolant sensor in both places. The one that screws into the top of the intake should be round and white. I think its for the fan. Or maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. :D

Are the harland sharps 1.60s?
Tim

Beautiful motor dude. One tip I learned----if that is a BHJ balancer, get some paint on it. It will rust. Brian
