Does anyone have a new/rebuilt motor that they will be willing to sell me? My block is destroyed And i don't have the money to rebuild it. I'm looking for an 84 hot air 231ci motor. If anyone has one please let me know and what you're willing to sell it for. Thanks
Danny-

There are 2 long blocks in the for sale section right now. Any of the 79 to 87 engines would work but if it's an IC engine you'd just need to plug the oil drain at the front of the block.;)

Just bought this new motor from someone in Pennsylvania with a 350 trans tell me what you guys think. It's newly rebuilt with new headers as well

Depending on who rebuilt the engine you might be fine. It looks like a B4black set up but I'm not sure why it would have a set of after market 86-87 headers on it. Also not sure what distributor is on it.

I noticed that myself. Also why is there no fuel injection?!?!? I refuse to go pick it up if it won't work in my 84 GN

Doesn't mean it won't work but I'd try to find out who rebuilt it and whether or not they used regular cast, hyper, or forged pistons in it. If the intake's aluminum (looks like it is) then it's got the right heads so take all the B4black parts off and the headers you bolt your parts on and go.;)

I'm confused as to what you are saying. If it has the distributor..I want to have my electrical ignition hooked up instead.

If your car has the cam sensor a distributor won't work in it's place. The car you've got is an SFI HA car, right?

Correct I just bought a new cam sensor also. What should I do now...?

I'd take a look in person at the engine first. If it's an aluminum intake then it's got the high port heads. Find out where it was rebuilt and what parts were used in it. If it's got hypers in it and you don't plan on much more than stock you'll be fine. If it's got cast pistons and it's a .030 over bore then you'd just need to get some forged pistons installed and balance the assembly and go for it. Change the balancer, install the parts you need, and go for it.
