After years of looking I broke down Saturday and bought my first 86 GN. Car has 47,000 miles. Car is not running. Car is in nice shape. Only place I found rust was on the doors. But for what I paid I can't complain. So here's what I got. A complete car with the engine taken out and disassembled. So I have boxes of parts. Engine was rebuilt in 02. Spun a crank bearing, engine taken apart, owner lost interest and needed money.

These are the parts I have- ARP studded, O ring block, JB forged pist, 70mm TB, Ported intake, GN1 champion alm heads, 55 injectors, 1.6 roller rockers, lt1 mass air, poston headers, A/R .60 turbo, precision intercooler, 3500 stall, kenne bell ram air dam, under drive pullies, poston down pipe and exhaust, 3.73 rear end, 340 fuel pump.

Now I want to take these parts and make a nice street machine. So I looking for info on what cam to get, chip. Will these parts work together? Just looking for help on what direction to go to have a good running car because I know there are alot of guys on this board that know their stuff. Thanks for the help, Frank

1) Not sure on the cam but when I upgrade, I want to go roller.
2) Chip - Turbo Tweak or Extender

You will need a translator to run the lt MAF.

Good slection of parts but you need to find out what turbo you have, I don't think it's an A/R 60.
You must have a large turbo for a 3500 stall.
The Poston DP might be a little hinderance on a real fast car.
I would at the least get a ported elbow on the turbo or get a TH style DP.

I looked a little more at the parts. The whole intake top and bottom is champion. It has an extender chip. Accufab fuel pres. reg. Translator is missing. How can I tell what turbo I have? Not sure what it is. I came up with the A/R 6.0 because thats what it has on the aluminum casting. Thanks

Give Mike at Full Throttle a call and get a hydraulic roller kit from him. He's a great source for all your parts. You can find his contact info on the start-up page under vendors.
