New Rims and Tire for Stock GN

Hey guys,

After riding on stock rims and tires I am looking to put them away for just show purposes and put something more dependable, safe and different on my car. I would like to go to 17 or even 18 inch rims without rubbing during extreme turning or hitting bumps. Can anyone advise me on what is the widest rim tire setup that I can use without rubbing with a stock suspension?
I really appreciate the help!

8" wide, zero offset (4" backspace), 245mm width front tire is pretty much guaranteed not to rub. Everything up from there is going to have a good chance of hitting something.

in the back you can go out to a 10" rim tire with a 295mm tire if your body is square on the chassis, but if you stick with a square setup, you can rotate the tires more easily and they'll last a lot longer.
