New scan tool?

Wondering if there is an in-car scantool that also allows for using a laptop available.. Still using Direct Scan, but would like to have something in the car at all times without using a laptop for daily driving/tuning.

Hmm, I already have direct scan now, can I just add-on to whats already installed?

If you have a scanmaster, the logger will connect to that and log 30 seconds without a laptop, as well as the "live" data...There are a couple guys who have beta test units out there, do a quick search on here and tbs and you'll see what its all about...looks like its gonna be a kick a$$ piece

Same thing I did back in September when I preordered my Logger...sold it and borrowed a buddy's when I need one...hehehe :biggrin:

How much can I get for it? And do I NEED to buy scanmaster in order to have live data without a laptop?

Check the boards for the current prices on the DS units...and I think you would have to have the SM for live data viewing...The logger is similar to DS in that its just the interface between the ECM and Laptop/Scanmaster...You'll need either a laptop or SM or both

Yeah sounds like it. I definitely would like to switch over to the new and improved system.
