Hi everyone. I just moved to Temple from Baltimore. I am trying to find some fellow Buick owners to meet up with sometime or go cruisin with. If anyone is in the area or knows where to go please let me know.Thanks.

:D Welcome to TEXAS, There is the Austin Buick Club in Austin (Phil Green) and the LSPBC in Dallas/Fort Worth (David Newton), of course if you make it down to Houston, come see us.:) I post our events on the thread.

You need to come out to some of the car meets! We have plenty in the DFW area. The largest probably being the Monday night meet in Plano at BJ's off of 75. Easily 200+ cars. Although I have yet to see any GN's or t-types for that matter come to it. :frown:

The Grand Prix's and GTO's(1st of Month) meet up in Lewisville on Wedensday nights and head to the car meet at the Sonic(off 3040). You are more than welcome to meet at our cruise spot then head with us to the meet if you would like. :D

Also there's a car show on the first Saturday of each month(www.monthlymuscle.com). David N. tries his hardest to make it out when he can. One of the best local car shows IMO(Besides the Lone Star Buick Club's show - So fast86GN won't whoop my ass next time he see's me). The kinds of cars and the variety is nice. Plus it's not participant judgeing so you don't have to worry about participants voting for one another.

If you have question's let me know.

Fast86GN, SuperCPA, and myself are a part of the DFW charity racing league, where we meet once a month at North Star Dragway(Denton), do some friendly racing to acquire points for our team. Which ever team has the most points at the end of the season wins. Money goes to families with special needs children who can't get on gov't programs. If you get a chance check out our site and register to see the full message board
DFW Charity Racing
The next event is Augst 22nd.

Fast86GN, SuperCPA, and myself are all on Team Steady Racing

You can come by the Dallas Conv Center today for the RideZ of the Times show along with the health and fitness show, the LSPBC has 12 cars there on display and most of the members should be there by noon or so....its at I30 and Lamar in downtown. There's also lots of chicks on steroids there as the body building competition is going on during the show :)

Welcome!

The Lone Star Performance Buick Club holds a racing event at Redline Raceway virtually every 2nd Saturday of the month and a car show virtually every 3rd Saturday of the month. You and anyone else are more than welcome to come hang out with us anytime.

Check our website for schedules and details if you like.

So I guess I need to make a appearance?

Hey Jonathan what about Thursday nights in Garland at Taco Casa, you didn't mention that one?

I would like to meet up with you guys sometime.Right now I'm trying to solve an issue with my car not starting periodically. I believe it is electrical but I just haven't found the problem yet.I won't have an issue driving up that way once I fix the problem.I have an '87 GN that I show and sometimes race.

If you need help on that electrical problem call Jack Laswell over at JL Performance in Rowlett 972 412 9000. He is a fellow club member and a TR expert!!! Tell him I sent you.

Welcome! I'm just a little north of you probably 1hr or so. If you get a chance there is a car show in waco first saturday of every month at the Church of the Open Door. There is usually a good crowd

Thanks for the info about JL Performance. I may give him a call to get some ideas on what it may be. If I get it fixed I'll try to make it to that show in Waco next month.

welcome to Texas!

Welcome to Texas guys! You're just in time to miss the worst of the heat *this year*, but dont' worry, you'll have a chance to experience it next summer - or maybe sooner if Mother Nature decides to hit us with one last, late heat wave.

Charlie6 -

I'm in Richardson so I'm pretty close to you. I don't get to participate with the club much, but a make an event now and then. I drive my GN every chance I get so if you see a t-top '87 GN cruising around Richardson, it's probably me.

And yes, JL Enterprises is the place to take your turbo Buick! I think Fast86gn called it "JL Performance", but I think he meant JL Enterprises unless Jack has changed the name recently. Tell him David and Rob *both* sent you. ;)
