Hi there, glad to become a member as this site looks to be a huge help in the months and years to come. I do not currently own a turbo buick, however I am in the market to purchase one. I have seen many for sale, and I have pretty much decided on a WE-4 if possible. I see the price range of these WE-4's up and down so I have no real idea of what they are worth with what upgrades. I am looking at one from cars-on-line and I would like the board members opinions on this particular buy whether it is a good deal or not. Also, with the mods the seller has listed, what kind of 1/4 times could I expect with good traction? I am including quoted info he sent me in an email that has more detailed info on the build. Thanks in advance for your help.

Turbo Buick For Sale

Here is the quoted info he sent me in an email.

"Bought the car new in August of 87. I have over $10,000 in performance upgrades. Some of the major upgrades are: TA49 turbo, dual stage fuel pump, 42lb injectors, headers, 3" downpipe, ported upper manifold and intercooler neck, large K&N filter. The car is lowered 2" (great stance). Interior is perfect with gauges. Back seat has never been sat in. 90% tread on Michelin tires. AC blows cold. "

Welcome!

This board is a good place to hang out and learn about Turbo Regals.

As to the value of that WE-4....It looks great and has a lot of the most common modifications....Seems a bit high priced to me, but then I'm a TTA guy ;)

Other members will surely chime in with their opinion on the value of such a car. 55k cars usually sell for $10-13,000....There are exceptions.

Again, welcome :)

Welcome aboard!! The price seems high. I agree with lburou with the price range. I see the car is located in St. Charles Mo. That is about 30 minutes away from me.

Looks like a decent deal if it is completly rust free. 1/4 mile times should be any where for high 11's to mid 13's. Depends on your tunimg skills and the boost, gas and chip your are using. Good luck. By the way I have a WE4 too but I want to get a GN in a few years.:D

Looks like a real nice car. Wonder if it is owned by a board member? Let us know how this turns out for you.
