Will TA Performance SS headers clear everything when installed on GN-1 heads in a TTA? Anyone running this setup?

Good question!!

I think from my experience if the A/C is in the car you can't run gn heads the header and down pipe won't fit.

just from what i have learned.

thanks JD

Hey Lee, I posted the same question on the TTA site. This one person said that he thought it was the strut towers also was part of the reason for not putting the GN heads on. If that is so then it will not be possible to do it, will it? I dont know if that is true though. Waiting to hear back from him to see if he can tell me where he got that info from.

Motor will fit with the headers on it. Problem is the downpipe.

I should have said

I know the AC/heater box will have to come out. Once it is out, will there be a problem with the crossover? Thanks for the replies.

With the heat ac box out of the way it the gn heads fit without any problem. Here is a low quality pic of my formula engine bay with gn heads and custom dp. From what I can tell a set of TA headers should fit.

Ahh, the classic downpipe coming out the front bumper cover, so stylish! I have a buddy with a DSM like that

Thats my old TTA. The guy that has it now put the exhaust out the front.
Sometimes I wish I never sold it!
Grump you should remember it. Back in the good old days!

Man I wish my car was a hardtop like the one in that magazine. I'm not too fond of t-tops, but a hardtop tta is like hens teeth. If I were slightly more energetic I'd cut the top off mine and make it a hardtop. I'm pretty sure I could find a junk v-6 hardtop car for a couple hundred bucks pretty easy.
