Well I'm new to the world of Turbo Buicks, and I was thinking that probably the best way to learn would be to ask the guys that know. I know the basics, and am good mechanics- but like I said I'm not familiar with these cars. Here's what I came into:

87' GN , Bone stock, 116k on motor, 15k on turbo, recipts for oil changes/service documents since new- very sound mechanical condition. My overall goal I guess (to start) would be to get it in the 12s- I'm just not sure where to start. I ran it 14 flat @ 98mph today with a little wheel spin launching (from factory guage) @ 3-4psi I only got one run in (showed up late) but I think it could do a little better... ANY Tips would be greatly appreciated here guys!

study up on these cars before you just go turning up the boost lol. They are a lot of fun as long as you learn about them. A good spring cleaning on the car would be where I would start for sure. No telling when it was done last. I don't mean washing and waxing it either lol. Read up on it here, espically cleaning the intercooler.

Above all, read , read, read These cars are totally diffrent animals Daniel Ray

buy a scanmaster first to monitor motor while racing. second you might want to change valvesprings because they go bad after 50,000 miles also the timing chain is nylon.

Tires, cold air, remove front sway bar = 12's.

You owe me $1000.00

Next would definitely be scantool, alky.
