New Tranny/Converter= 2-3 flare WOT

I just had a new tranny installed and a Pro Torque 10.5 lu converter. At crusing speed it shifts firm 1-2, 2-3, 3-4. Under wot throttle it shifts great, but not near as firm as while cruising and 2-3 flares. I have the tranny overfilled 1 quart and the TV cable set to "gm recommedned setting" per gnttype.org I think it maybe a chip issue. I am running Reds 93 for 30#s and am not sure if it is trying to lock the converter in 3 causing this flaring problem. Oh, it also has the Art Carr deep pan, so should the dipstick read right compared to a stock pan. Just thought it might be that I don't have enough fluid even overfilling a quart based on the dipstick.

I know this is more than one question, but any help diagnosing this would be appreciated. No, I don't have a scanmaster yet.

If you think it is a chip problem, unplug the driver side plug on the side of the tranny and go for a rip. Your torque converter shouldn't be able to lock up.

I may do that. The weather here had been rainy and cold and honestly I haven't had much time to mess with it. I'm on my way home from work and will try a few things.
