I was waiting to see an import POS. So glad to see you bought an American made truck. Ford makes a great truck and am sure you will be happy with it !! Good job ! :)

I thought all the real trucks were American made. I keep telling my wife we have to get a truck, my boys would think we are cool parents.

Looks good.

lol...naw..for trucks I'm a firm believer in American made.

Cars and motorcycles are a different story though. Until recently American made cars were just not worth the paper the titles were printed on, seems like that is changing though. With motorcycles, American companies are playing on an image too much and charge a large amount based on that alone. Though the quality of the bikes is really good (for bikes 5 years and newer, at least). When I get back from GITMO I'm most likely buying a Victory to replace my current one (Victory prices aren't as bad as HD)

Nice ride, the only thing I would have changed was H.D. option ;) ---

LOL see above regarding HD!! :) Though the 2010 HD models are a REALLY cool color scheme now!

Thanks!

I used to live in that apartment complex in 2003.:)

That's just funny. We don't really like it here. We did at first when there was a different manager, but not anymore...but oh well! I leave for GITMO in less then a month and we broke our lease for here on the 12th of March.

Rent was $500ish when we lived there, when we renewed it was going to $650 so we bought a house and have not looked back.

Very nice. The new Fords are nice trucks. A black 6.2 Raptor would look good in my garage.

Awesome, Nice purchase. Congrats.

Thanks!

Few days into the buy and still loving it!

Had to take it back for the delivery detail because we signed the paperwork after the were closed. To say that they didn't do a great job would be an understatement. My wife expressed her dissatisfaction upon receipt and we got a call a few days later from the general manager. He gave us another detail whenever we want :)

Going this Thursday and will come back with a truck that smells brand new all over again! :D

Soooo...my wife took the truck in last Thursday to get the detail. She gets there and asks how long it is going be. They tell her an hour so she decides to stay and wait. Two and a half hours later the new car salesman that had helped her when she first go there noticed that she was still there and was shocked. He went to find out what was going on. He stayed back there and personally helped them finish so that it would get done. My wife gets the truck back from the re-detail and goes home. Pulls our youngest childs car seat....and there was stuff all around it!!! The detail shop didn't move it at all..they didn't condition ANY of the leather seats...so by this point she was really pissed. Wasn't about to go back though because they had screwed it up twice already.

That was until yesterday. We get a call from the bank that had financed the van that we had traded in saying that they had not gotten the pay off at all and that our payment was going to be late in a matter of days. Now I'm REALLY pissed off.

We drove down there, I demanded to see the General Manager and I tore into him. Asking how long it takes them to pay off a trade in that I had bought from them as well as through a bank that I had financed through them. Saying how this was my second vehicle that I had bought from them and that the new car sales was the only thing that did ANYTHING right!! (After all..it wasn't the salesmans fault that the detail sucked..he just tried to help them out) I was literally yelling at him because they had a matter of days to get the check cut AND to the bank before a negative mark went on both my credit and my wifes. Also letting them know that since they had missed the pay off time, the amount had gone up and I sure as hell wasn't going to pay the difference. That went on for about 15 minutes. Then he went out to find out what happened.

Apparently the office manager thought that they had gotten a 20 day pay off when we had given them a 14 day pay off. She (office manager) came to the GMs office and personally apoligized. She had the check cut for the new amount and out the door for deliveray within 20 minutes and the bank (luckily a local one) got the check that day.

The GM gave us a voucher for a free tank of gas and ANOTHER detail. I normally wouldn't have accepted the detail and would have demanded that they pay another company to do it, but the fact is that I am leaving this area (Hampton Roads area of Virginia) in just two days and didn't want to screw with that. Especailly since they are going to give us a loaner to drive away in until the truck is done.

I also told him that I had been planning on going back there in a year when I get back from GITMO to buy another new truck but now I wasn't. He told me if I come back and see him personally (he's been there 12 years...so he should still be there) he will make sure I get taken care of personally including "something special" (dealer price maybe?). Since new car sales did a great job, I won't have a trade in, and I will take my own financing in to start with, I just might. At least to see what he's thinking.

Fun fun!!!
