Oh trust me my friend i know all about safety........i have spent alot and alot of money on this car to make it safe.i guess when i called you today to talk to ya. that was one of my question but i know you are buzy............. why are you mounting them up front in a washer squirter tank. by the looks of it they are in the engine compartment that seems to me there is more of a chance of a fire then any where. i dont know.it just seems to me in the trunk mount would be more user friendly safer with the proper ground and vented just like a fuel cell and stainless steel lines. Im just now starting to research this whole alky thing.it looks like there some friendly compition out there to me. i want the best that i can buy . Thanks for the response guys.

Every component on our system is 100% methanol compatible. regardless of whether you keep the methanol in the trunk or in the engine bay you run a risk of fire. The good thing the risk is extremely low. I agree that the stainless lines are a good option and we have them if you want. In terms of something happening and the tank in the trunk catching fire...the odds are so remote its not likely to ever happen. Anytime you put something on your car, or drive your car you assume risk. You have to determine what is the risk you are willing to take.

You have many options with our product. Convenient trunk mount tank, the best checkvalve in the business, the most advanced digital controller on the market and the only fully tune-able progressive controller on the market. What ever your needs are, we can make it happen.

Thanks again for the interest, I know you will be satisified with our product. 100% methanol, 100% water or anything in between.

ok if you have it in the trunk you will need a "firewall" to go racing .. right ???

1.3 FUEL

Gasoline, methanol, gasohol, diesel, natural gas and propane permitted. Nitromethane prohibited.

1.4 FUEL SYSTEM

All fuel tank filler necks located inside trunk must have filler neck vented to outside of body. Vented caps prohibited. All batteries, fuel lines, fuel pumps or filler necks located inside trunk require complete bulkhead of at least .024-inch (.6 mm) steel or .032 (.8 mm) aluminium to isolate driver compartment from trunk. Fuel lines must be located outside driver compartment. Fuel tanks must be within the confines of the body. See General Regulations 1.5.

I have done both trunk mounting possibilities- pump in AND outside of car:

Pump inside car (Impy SS TT) - Used SFI fuel cell with pump mounted right next to it. All AN fittings but the real reason for pump in the car is that he only wanted to use WW fluid or slightly diluted (with meth) WW fluid. This medium was not flammable.

For the install with the pump external (2nd Gen RX7 Turbo) - Used custom made sheetmetal tank with supply line (all AN, as usual) fed thru trunk metal via grommet. The pump was mounted under the car inside one of the rear box braces. This guy wanted to run everything to see differences for himself (water, eth, meth, etc...), therefore I didnt want to be running HP lines in the trunk.

Finally, In either scenario, there is still alky inside the trunk. The feed lines are susceptible to leaking as well, esp when bulkheads are installed wrong, or AN lines are improperly assembled. Even by mounting pumps and HP lines outside of the car, you still have to be careful and take your time ensuring that all lines are as failsafe as possible. I've had perfectly installed AN lines, AN fittings, and SS braided lines, and rubber lines all break. If a HP line bursts under the hood, you still are in trouble if the liquid is flammable - I'd be much more worried about that than in the trunk!
