I will be installing a new turbo very soon. What has been done with the pcv valve & hose that comes off the front of the right side valve cover? The new turbo won't be using the small factory inlet bell.
Can I just install a breather? If so what do you recommend?

Thanks in advance
Jay

I guess that hose acts like a pcv in that vacuum in front of the turbo draws crankcase stuff, but normally when you speak of pcv, its the hose from the vac block to the real pcv at the bottom of the intake. Big no-no on the breather. You can get a hard maf pipe and somehow install a bung or somesuch for the hose to fit to. Then you have to hope your smog tech is ok with it. It would be best to keep the stock turbo, and its hose, in place for smog. What you do between smog checks...

I forgot to add that my state has no smog or emissions. I can add or remove whichever items. :)
