New turbo

Im thinking of upgrading my turbo. Will a BB turbo allow you to run a larger turbo with a lower TC stall and still have quicker spool time?

Yes do the search on different people setup or call vendors selling turbos.

Ta49 works well with the stock converter.

Turbo spool is only one factor when it comes to converters. And after spending the extra for ball bearing, you could have bought a real converter and a journal bearing turbo that will work all around better than the wrong converter and a bb turbo. Just speaking in general, dont know your combo or goals.
