New wiper motor install-help needed

My wipers are stuck in the up position. I bought another motor & transferred everything from the old to the new motor. I can’t get the new motor installed because the arm is too far towards the fender. Is there a way to adjust this?

Your wiper motor is in the "park " position . Move the wipers & transmission arms down to where they would be as if they were turned off and it should be close to the crank arm ball to hook up .
I worked a GM / Delco on the wiper line that made these motors .

The wipers are tight. Should I loosen anything before pulling them down?

I would start by removing the blades and see if the posts move .
