Ok, so I'll admit right up front I'm just here to get some valuation information on a car for a friend of the families. (And maybe some potential buyers) Her husband recently passed away and she's thinking about selling his old car but has no idea what it's worth.

It's a 1986, stock turbo with an Alkycontrol system installed by John's Performance in Lake Stevens, WA before he quit working on these cars. It has about 79,000 miles, the last 2K recorded on a VDO gauge system. I have some pics below of the car. It has a polished alloy Duttweiler intercooler, multiple ECU chips, including an emissions version and a "Thrasher", upgraded fuel injectors (not sure of the PPM rating), new intake plenum and throttle body, engine strap, etc etc.

Not sure what's currently installed but assume it's an alky chip. All parts to take it back to stock as shown in the pics. Three, huge factory Buick repair manuals covering the entire car bumper to bumper and a full history of receipts. In addition, there is a set of 1987 Rally wheels to go with it, a driveline hoop and a couple of braces also. Can someone here ballpark a price on it? Really appreciate the input, thank you ahead of time!

No problem. Welcome to the site. Was the past owner a member here? Just wondering if we knew him. How long has the car been sitting? Price could be anywhere from 8 to 18 K. Without knowing the condition of the engine, trans, rear end, underside of the car, or title, I'd guess 12-14K might be a fair price.

It looks like a nice looking survivor. Keep us in the loop on what happens and if the new owner needs help / info.:)

No, the PO wasn't a member here. He was not very technically savvy. The car was only sitting for about 2.5 months since he passed. He was in the middle of polishing the intake tubes. Last week Dad and I went down there and put it back together, checked everything out and started it up and went for a drive. All I have to say is if I could afford it, I wouldn't have a license for very long!!! Title is clean and clear.

Can't find a speck of rust on it. It has been garaged it's entire life. No leaks, although the front main seal has the typical GM wetness. If the new owner needs a resource, I'll definitely send them here. Once she collects all the receipts I'll have more info. For now, all she has is what's listed.
