Hi y’all. I just joined because I picked up this 1989 TTA. I really love Mopars and was shopping for a 64 Plymouth Sport Fury or a 67 Dodge Charger and this TTA with 44k miles popped up. To be honest, I never knew they existed. I’ve always been a Grand National fan, and when I did some research on the car and found out they only made 1550 and it was faster than the GNX and the fastest American production car at the time, and faster than most European exotics, I had to have it. What is a TR? Fortunately for me, I’m keeping it stock as a collector vehicle, otherwise I could see myself going crazy stupid with this thing.

Turbo Regal as opposed to GN. (Grand National) Welcome, good choice even though a 64 Sport Fury with 426 max wedge would be pretty badass also.

Thanks. They only sold the max wedge to licensed racers in 64, but you could get the 426 street wedge, which is what I was after. I already have a Mopar (74 Roadunner 440cid 4 speed manual) so I’m glad I got the GM. I also have a 73 Lincoln Mark IV so now I have one of each. GM, Ford, Mopar.

A TR is a Turbo Regal. Not a GN, not a T-type, not a Limited.
