newbie question

this one guy i know has 12 speakers and two subs with ONE amp. im wondering how this is done, any help is very much appreciated

also putting a sub box facing towards the rear or straight up, whats your guys thoughts?

Series/parallel wiring for an example 2 4 ohm speaker in series you will get 8 ohms or with 2 4 ohm speaker in parallel you will get 2 ohms. Wire your 12 4 ohm speakers in a series/parallel configuration you will get a 4 ohm load for the amplifier.

Can be easily done but not ideal, this is old school style not done any more.

Next passive filters is used to block bass for the mid's bass and subwoofers.
