Newest CCom and WinXP ok?

I just reformatted my laptop and I am running WinXP Pro with SP2. I have CCom WP 1.020. A local shop said they had issues with XP and the CCom software (I don’t know the versions of either). They said "the values they entered were being interpreted by the FAST differently". Now I don’t really see this being possible due to the serial connection being so standardized, but I just wanted to ask. If I am better off running a dual boot 98/XP setup please let me know.

I have used Windows XP with mine CCom for about 3 years now and have had no problems. I have heard of people having problems from time and don't remember what they were doing when this happen.

Maybe I have just been lucky.

The only problem I have heard of is with the USB adaptors. I have been using XP with mine for 1 1/2 years now.

I went through the USB adapter search. I finally found an IOGear one from BestBuy that works perfectly. Good to know that XP seems ok.

can you use CCOM in dos like direct scan or do you have to run windows?

The unit comes with both DOS and Windows versions. I dont know about the new XFI tho.
