Last year, I was able to meet one of my car's goals by running 11.50 with 100-octane unleaded and a stock, unopened motor (unless you count valve springs or timing chain). Actual time is in my signature. The car has gone right around 118mph with my set-up. My next goal is to hit 120mph, again with 100-octane and the stock, unopened motor.

I'm running a TA-49 with the Precision 0.63A/R housing. I was using about 24 to 25psi of boost to make the mid-11 passes. I'm trying to figure out what my next mod should be to get a few more mph. Thoughts:

1. Change to a Precision 0.85 A/R exhaust housing on the turbo.
2. Go to a 62mm TB and ported plenum. Not sure if that will help, since I'm running a PowerPlate, which I would guess is the largest restriction in my intake tract.
3. Just upgrade to the next biggest turbo, which would be either a PT-51 or a TA-60 (or maybe a PT61). I have a 2,800 stall, so I would think a PT-51 or TA-60 would work. I have too much stall for the TA-49 now - have to be really carefull when I stage to not blow the brakes away. When the turbo spools, it often blows the slicks away, unless the track is very well prepped. It would actually be a good thing if my turbo spooled a little less aggressively.

What do you guys think? Has anyone gone from the Precision 0.63 to the 0.85 housing? What results did you get? How about going from the stock to a 62mm throttle body?

Some details: stock, unopened motor (except for valve springs and timing chain), CAS V2 FMIC, ATR 2.5" dual exhaust, 3" THDP, 55 lb. injectors and Walbro-340 (got plenty of fuel), T+ with 3" MAF (screens removed). Let me know if you need more details.
 
looks like you going pretty fast on that turbo. id look into upgrading to the turbo to a ta 60
 
I think 'turbodave' did this on his 44 and saw about a 1.5mph improvement. You may want to ping him and or do a search.
