my sons buddies all have these and they are about 6 and 7yrs old..my son is 5 and i want to buy the right one and get the most games possible, seems some on ebay are giving you a flash card with like 40 games,is there anywhere i can find these games to download for him,,any ideas or help would be great ,,thanks TB.com'ers:):)

They all play the same games, they just update the unit from time to time. Games are on little cartridges... The latest ones have a bigger screen and a camera. For a 5yr old I would go with the plain DS light. They are pretty tough too... Both my kids have had them and didn't break them, that says alot;)

Just get the kids one of these. They last about twenty or so years and literally indestructible. It's like make of this space age plastic or something, idk.

just a thought. Before you buy a ds why not look at a psp they have a HD screen and the games have better detail and clarity

im not a gamer,so whats a psp,i assume its a playstation of some sort.leaning towards the DSi by nintendo, all the kids in our culdasack (sp?) have one and they are always using it out front..so dont want him to be left out...where do i find these on line illegal games,,,and yes i do speed...i have no problem admitting it...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Mine has the DSi. I have to admit, I play it too... lol
And they use it for "chatting" wirelessly from house to house. And they play the same game with each other but use separate DSi's. It's my understanding only the DSi has these features, but it's been awhile since I looked at what's new.
I'll admit, I'm a sudoku addict since this thing came around... And it's awesome for long road trips. Since there are "learning" games we all play.
