A waste of nitrous...

Why not just put a small 60 horse shot inside the motor?

You would gain much more that way.
 
I think the 60 increase was from the motor inhaling the nitrous not cooling the IC.

If the IC is sufficiently large, meaning the IAT is normal less than 140 DF.. the power you gain going from 140 to lets say 50 degree's is negligible. Definately not 60 WHP.
 
Well this seems to be a safer way and seems like it would cool down a stock intercooler pretty well.


Yeah but your limited to stock boost levels. So there is no extra power. Put an alky kit, cool the charge and add octane.. so you can run higher boost. Higher boost=extra RWHP. You cant compare your car at 16 PSI vs 25 PSI.

If you run race fuel, want to cool the charge becuase you race in a class that doesnt allow alcohol.. then this is your option.

Waste of money

Again.....waste of money. If it were effective or even worth talking about, it would have been talked about and on every car in here. You know what IS on almost every car in here? An alky kit.

Are you kidding? Methanol is a very high octane fuel. How do you think that an alcohol dragster can run in the 5's.

So you shoot a high octane fuel at high pressure at WOT and the effect is it stops knock.. I'll leave it at that.
 
Its a great theory....but thats about the only thing its good for. Realistically, its worthless.
