It is my understanding that if you move from a 50 series to a 60 series you loose tread width. For instance, Mickey Thompson rates their 275/50 drag radial at 10.5, but their 275/60 at 9.5 inches. Both tires have similar section widths. Nitto on the other hand only advertises their section width, not the tread width.Attached are photos of my 275/50 Nittos on the 7" T wheel. You can see the worn part that makes contact with the ground and it is 8.5 to 8.75 inches. I typically run these tires at 30 psi on the street so someone running less pressure may see a wider contact patch. I am curious to see how the Nitto 275/60's compare. Would someone be willing to take a similar picture with with a tape measure and post it?
