No 3rd or 4th gear

I am a member of montecarloss.com and posted this question on there and it was suggested I post it here, as you guys seem to be very knowledgeable on the 2004r trans. I just insstalled a new 350 crate motor in my 87 SS, while I had the trans out, I installed a trans go 2hd shift kit. now it will not shift into 3rd or 4th. When I had it apart I did notice that the intermediate servo piston to case seal looked kinda of distorted, but the local chevy dealer says it is no longer avaliable so I reinstalled it, could this be leaking and causing my problem, or is it something else? I have checked and double checked the TV adjustment.

Could be a leaking seal as mentioned or a stuck shift valve. Try to command a shift, downshift from 3rd to 2nd and then back up a few times. Sometimes this will clean out the shift valve and force a shift.

Then put a pressure gauge on it and see whats happening.
I probably have some extra servo seals if you need them.

check the 2/3 shift valve as it also supplies the 4th with oil.as such no 3rd clutch no 4th on 3/4 upshift
