No Boost Question

My Limited may be pressed into daily use for the remainder of the summer. It has a high timing/hi boost race chip. (PT51 w/57's)

Any forseeable problems with just removing the actuator rod and running 94 octane for a month or two?

It would get crappy fuel mileage with the race chip, but wont harm the car if you lockout the wastegate rod.
You could just turn the boost down and get a street chip...

Removing the rod will absolutely kill any power or performance. Simply eliminate the w/g solinoid. Do this by running a vacuum line from the turbo to the actuator with no tee.
