What performance gains if any will I get by removing the Cat, Car is pretty much stock with 3" single exhaust, hi flow Cat, with dynomax race bullet muffler.

I get a little faster spoolup, anything to make the exhaust freer flowing will help spoolup and top end power.

When my car was stock with the factory cat in 2002, a RA93 chip and a cold air setup, I ran a 9.2 in the 1/8th.

Next time out I added a power plate and a test pipe - 8.74. I'm sure there are other environment variables that had a handin the track visits, but I know the test pipe resulted in a noticable difference on the butt dyno.

Dude get rid of it, you only need it for one day out of the year!! Have an exhaust shop weld in a flange on either side of the cat, and have him make a straight pipe to put where the cat "was", Or you could get a dump pipe? Either works, i've had both! Less restriction is always better for performance. Good luck.
