I ve taken out th cluster to put in a custom one and I figured out last week I need the bi pass harness that plugs in the waste gate and alt...imhooked that up today..re charged the battery and it's not charging the battery.(it was fine before i removed the cluster)

You do know that battery bulb light in the instrument panel on your left should flash on when you turn the ignition right? Switch on the ignition--but don't crank the car and pay attention to the battery light bulb. If it do not light up there is your problem. The bulb needs to make contact to excite the wire (brown) to make sure your alternator is charging. It's been awhile but it was something to that effect that happened with me some time back.

just get a field fix harness from casper its probably that bulb thats not completing the circuit, and you avoid your self future problems! it takes less than five minutes to plug in, from alt. to waste gate solenoid!

He said he has the field fix harness.
Check the run of wires on the waste gate connector make sure one isnt cut or pinched. Otherwise call Casper's.

Check your ECM SOL fuse. If the fuse is blown, the wastegate pink/black wire won't have power - and then the field fix harness won't work.

if its a custom gauge panel...find the wire back of alternater and feed it a 12v signal...i can't remeber what color it is. no need to spend $$ on a harness.
