I've been hearing some whining noise from the front of my trans sounds like maybe the pump. It will pull when cold but as soon as the fluid warms up no movement in any gear. At first just reverse wouldn't go and it would slip in d if I wasn't easy on it, but now once warmed up it wont pull in any gear. tranny was shifting great until pump started whining how do I check if it's just the pump or something major.

sounds like debris from a failing part is being sucked into the strainer stopping the pumps ability to vaccum oil out of the pan causing no/or loss of engagement and an unbalanced pr valve to whine because of an empty cavity.get ready to rebuild.

pressure test results!!!

these were recorded after warm up, in some cases pressure was higher or existed until warm up. All were @ min TV @1000rpm.

R-60psi
N-60 psi
od- 20 psi

update!!

pulled trans this morning, took pan off and did not see any metal shaving in pan, cut filter open and still no metal but I did see small pieces of plastic. pulled front pump assembly and the plastic thrust washer is toast. could this be my problem ? or am I just wishful thinking?
