I'm not a big Bruins fan myself (at least they're Original 6), but I had reservations to watch them get STOMPED by the Wings in September.

thats a real shame.

Pro Hockey and baseball need to take a page from some other pro sports assoc.

baseball and Hockey AS A WHOLE are PATHETIC organizations at the moment.

Hockey's always been a regional game, and I think it always will be. Pretty much if you don't live in MN, MI, NY, New England or north of the 49th you don't care.

I will agree that the organization is totally out of whack. This could have been settled if the owners hadn't clouded their real motives with lies and propaganda.

I enjoy hockey and use to work for the Phoenix Mustangs of the West Coast Hockey league. I try to make to 3 or 4 'Yotes games a year.

its ashame they could not come to a happy medium. for cryin out loud they where 6mil. apart. thats not a lot of money when you come down to it.. they could not split the differance?

thats piss poor IMO.

And I'm from a hockey town. Hopefully far from it in a few more years.

The game is a regional game, and there is no TV money. What the hell do the players want? What's wrong with linking salaries to revenues? I know everybody wants to be A-Rod, but get real. And don't give me that crap about how it's a shame for the fans. They could care less about you, so long as milk keeps coming out when they squeeze you. Oh, and you'll be back in the arenas, with your short memories, ready for the milking, when they start up again.

I'm glad it busted this year. The only thing I regret is that we had to hear about it every day from the end of last season until now. Enough.
