No more boost????

I am running the Postons Ultrachip Thumbwheel for the 84/85 ecm. It is set at the 4 setting. According to the paper i got with it the boost should be around 18psi............I am getting about 15psi and the rest of the gears are around 13.5psi......My adjustable wastegate rod is as short as it will go....I have a high flow convertor on the car which is probably around 7 years old at least.....I had a kenne bell chip in before and was getting around 19psi and lower...........I threw the kenne bell back in today and got a wapping 13psi and lower......rod short as it goes......i dont know what happened????? The ultrachip hasnt made the 18psi since it has been in......just isnt making sense to me!!!! Of course that is why you guys are here Is there a setting besides the rod that could be of that would cause a problem???????? Is it possible to shorten the rod to much? If i had a vacuum leak would I hear it..........otherwise the car is running great just went on a 4 hour round trip to graduation party and she left a very nice 75 to 100ft black mark when i did a burnout for my aunt... when I first bought my chip that was one of my first questions too. And guess what, those #'s are supose to be only for 86 -87 only.

Hot Air cars: ~
Setting:

3 - 13.6 PSI
4 - 14.2 PSI
5 - 15.8 PSI
6 - 17 PSI
7 - 18 PSI

If you have it on a HOT AIR, please deduct about 2 PSI for every setting that the paper claims it gives!!!!!!!!

Holy Grand National..........that makes me feel a lot better.....but why will my rod not adjust the boost up more for me.......So with my intercooler I can probably get away with running and setting 5 or 6? Thanks for the reply that really helps I dont feel so dumb now.....but yet i still feel pretty dumb about the wastegate rod...????? It is as short as can be and i can only get 15lbs. of boost? Guys have any other ideas? I do have a ticking exhaust sound that has gotten loud since I got the car? On the passenger side cant locate the darn leak though???? Any good technics you guys know of to locate the exhaust leak? It just sounds like a gasket leak somewhere on the passenger side. Thank agian guys!!!!
